Treat your mother right!

I just came to think about my mother. Just wanted to make a random post to just praise her a bit.

Mother, I love you so much. You dragged my sorry ass around for 9 months until you gave birth. You loved me, fed me, dressed me, read stories for me, taught me to read, taught me about ancient history and so much more. I love you with all my heart. I love you so much that I always compare women I met with you. I look for the strength, intelligence, kindness, love and warmth that you have because I wish my children to one day have the same beautiful mother.

Your kind words wipe away my tears, and your kisses take away my sadness and problems. I want you to always be proud of me, and I will do all I can to make sure that you never need to suffer any of the hardship that you've gone through ever again.

As for the rest;

Come around, feel the sound

Come around, feel the sound
Oh you make my heart pound
Fill me up, bring me down
When I hear your sound

The bunkering period has begun now. I've decided to pick myself up off the ground, and put my pieces back together. So yes, this means that the era of cramming and hardcore studying has arrived!!! I celebrate this fact by getting my credits out the way and passing my first exam to kick things off properly!

Anyhow, I have this love-hate relationship with this specific period in time. I do hate being forced to study, to miss out on holidays and vacations, but most of all to miss out on Sweden and a proper summer. BUT! (and here's a big one) things are not all bad!

I also love the insight I always gain during these trying times. It is not until you push yourself to your limits that you truly know yourself and what can I say, I've pushed myself to many limits upon arriving here in 2007.

But I still feel there is much more to learn, about myself and about how I interact and feel about certain things and scenarios.
I always feel like I'm growing as a person, enriching my life with new important and less important experiences that help me shape myself, shape my thoughts but at the same time keep me fluent and unshaped like water.
It is here, where I truly matured and learned how to stand up for myself, to find my "Taymaz'ness", to pursue the goals and interest which I hold dear and so much more.

I have this funny tradition of always installing Linux (Ubuntu to be more specific) each year just around this time of the year, vowing to never use Windows again and to set myself free from my shackles. But it's not until now that I fully understand that we are not limited by others, we limit ourselves according to others.

So next time you're being part of a situation in which you feel limited, unhappy and unjustly treated. Don't cry. Don't panic. YOU have the power to break through those shackles. If I could do it, so can you! Believe in yourself.

You are beautiful, you are smart, you are ambitious and loving. I believe in you, so why won't you start believing in yourself? :)

PSN downtime!!

Ahhhhhhhhhh I'm going crazy.
This is the 3rd week the Playstation Network has been offline. It's especially hard now cause I'm feeling so bored and lonely!!! I can't unwind after a stressful day and because of it, I can't sit down and focus enough to study.

Sigh... please PSN... get back!!
